IRIS Smart Cities Nice Présentation

From Tuesday 16th to Thursday 18th October will be held the 3rd Consortium Plenary Board.
European project from HORIZON 2020 programme, IRIS (Integrated and Reproducible Solutions for Co-creation in Sustainable Cities), met European partners in the field of energy transition.
The IRIS project consists in experimenting for five years of energy management through the implementation of innovative solutions in the fields of energy, transport, and information and communication technologies in 3 major smart cities. Europe: the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, the city of Utrecht in the Netherlands and the city of Gothenburg in Sweden. Once the solutions developed, they will be applied in the 4 following cities: Vaasa in Finland, Alexandroupolis in Greece, Focsani in Romania and Santa Cruz de Tenerife in Spain.
In France the partners participating in this project are:
– Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis
– actors from the world of research and teaching: the Scientific and Technical Center for Building, the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis via the Mediterranean Institute for Risks, Environment and Sustainable Development (IMREDD)
– major industrial and financial partners (EDF, ENEDIS, Veolia, Nexity),
– One of the Côte d’Azur’s flagship start-ups (Vulog)
– and Côte d’Azur Habitat.
The Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis is experimenting for the next five years with the energy management of the three districts of the Eco-Valley Plaine du Var to optimize consumption: real-time management of the energy of buildings, installation of new power production in local renewable …), Experimentation of a new generation of car-sharing vehicles, deployment of sensors
