The Nice Côte d'Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Université Côte d'Azur are organising a Mobility Day in the Nice Méridia district to encourage the adoption of more environmentally-friendly transport solutions.

September is the first academic year for the Campus Sud des Métiers, which is opening its doors to some of its students in the Nice Méridia district. This area is an urban technology park that is also home to businesses, offices and housing. This dynamism is synonymous with traffic and parking constraints.

Against this backdrop, the Nice Côte d'Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry has launched an Inter-Employer Mobility Plan for Méridia, with the aim of encouraging the use of alternatives to the private car and of «clean» vehicles, particularly for home-to-work/study journeys by employees and students. The partners involved in this initiative are Université Côte d'Azur, via its Institut Méditerranéen du Risque de l'Environnement et du Développement Durable (IMREDD), CESI, EDF, Pôle Emploi, VULOG & STIILT.

One of the actions of the Mobility Plan is to communicate the advantages of these more environmentally-friendly modes of transport, through a dedicated event to encourage their use.

The Nice Côte d'Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the IMREDD invite you to Mobility Day, which is part of European Mobility Week from 16 to 22 September:

COMPULSORY HEALTH PASS

The programme includes a wide range of events on the IMREDD premises and nearby, including :

- A presentation of IMREDD's mobility projects and intelligent charging stations by its engineers,

- Information stands on public transport, car-pooling, car-sharing, electric scooters and self-service bicycles, financial aid for sustainable mobility, etc,

- Electric-assist bike trials and electric car exhibitions,

- A workshop run by the Association de Prévention Routière to raise awareness of the rules governing the use of electric scooters,

- An AVEM workshop on electric mobility for students.

A food truck will also be on hand to cater for participants.
