For Mobility Week, IMREDD is joining the Nice M’Airidia Mobility Challenge, organised by the CCI Nice Côte d’Azur. This challenge, open to all establishments in the Méridia district, aims to encourage everyone (staff, teaching and research staff, and students) to adopt alternative modes of transport to get to IMREDD. The idea is simple: avoid coming alone by car or motorbike, and try out other solutions such as the bus, tram, train, cycling, carpooling, or even walking!
From 3 to 18 August 2024, the Chair in Territories and Autonomous Shuttles is carrying out an autonomous shuttle experiment in Valberg. The objective is to test an autonomous mobility service in a mountain environment. This involves proposing an innovative mobility solution, adapted to the territory and respectful of the environment, and testing its adoption and sustainability, in terms of both acceptability and economic model.

Residents and visitors to Valberg, Mandelieu-La Napoule and Cannes will have the opportunity to test these vehicles in real-life situations (roads open to traffic) and give their opinions on this new technology.
Faced with increasing droughts and floods, which are disrupting the water cycle, the new Chair aims to meet these challenges by uniting the strengths of the different territories within the Alpes-Maritimes region. This will be achieved by drawing on the latest advances in research and innovation.
