During a visit to the Alpes-Maritimes, Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Telecommunications, visited the IMREDD to discover the role played by this component of the Université Côte d'Azur in the region's social, economic and academic fabric.
Emmanuel Tric has been appointed Interim Director of IMREDD as of 1st February 2023. He succeeds Eric Dumetz, who has been the Institute's Director since September 2021, and previously Deputy Director since 2013. After 10 years of conceptualising and co-building IMREDD, Eric Dumetz wished to dedicate himself fully to the Université Côte d’Azur Foundation, which is beginning its renewal with new ambitions.
Emmanuel Tric has been appointed Acting Director of IMREDD as of 1 February 2023. He succeeds Eric Dumetz, Director of the Institute since September 2021, and previously Deputy Director since 2013. After 10 years of imagining and co-constructing IMREDD, Eric Dumetz has decided to devote himself fully to Fondation Université Côte d’Azur, which is beginning its renewal with new ambitions.
IMREDD hosted the first edition of this event, promoted by the European Commission to highlight collaboration between all the players in the innovation ecosystem. The Learning Centre was the stage for exchanges and meetings on European opportunities for innovation, cooperation and business creation. Students, including Ekaterina Koptseva from the MSc Engineers for Smart Cities, and young innovative entrepreneurs presented their projects to a panel of experts from the Université Côte d'Azur, the Région Sud and the European Innovation Council.

Following government announcements, wearing a mask will no longer be mandatory, either outdoors or on the premises of IMREDD and the University, starting Monday 14 March 2022.
Université Côte d’Azur and TEAM Henri-Fabre cement a lasting partnership to support businesses in the region in their transformation towards future industry and innovation. As part of the PRACCIIS project, IMREDD will offer, via its collaborative technological platform «Smart City Innovation Center,» a dedicated technological service to discover, test, and integrate future industry technologies.
This Tuesday, 11 January, Paulo Moura, Head of Innovation at IMREDD, appeared on the France 3 Régions news programme to discuss mobility.
As part of its «Business Hub» partnership with Nice Matin, IMREDD hosted a conference named «The Future of Europe» at its Learning Centre on Friday, 1st October.
