On 27 February, IMREDD hosted a delegation from Quebec as part of a visit organised by CEREMA. This meeting provided an opportunity to discuss climate risk adaptation policies and initiatives developed on both sides of the Atlantic.
IMREDD hosted the first edition of the «Cross-Innovations» Day in Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur, organised by the Regional Academic Delegation for Research and Innovation Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur (DRARI) and Université Côte d’Azur. This event brought together structures labelled CRT and CDT by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, as well as other regional innovation stakeholders.

As part of the Territories & Autonomous Vehicles and UX for Smart Life: Home & Mobility Chairs, from 24 January to 2 February 2024, IMREDD worked with Leroy Merlin Nice to carry out a pilot test of the ciTHy S delivery robot from French manufacturer TwinswHeel. The trial took place at Leroy Merlin's Goods Collection depot in Carros, with the aim of assessing the robot's operational capabilities in a real logistics environment.
Université Côte d’Azur, through its Institute for Innovation and Partnerships (IMREDD), the OCA, and the CNRS, is organising itself to better meet the needs of industry and research by creating a centre of expertise in additive manufacturing (3D printing). At the «Smart City Innovation Centre», they are pooling material and human resources to respond to a wider and greater number of demands and to support acceleration projects towards the industry of the future in the region.

IMREDD has launched a self-driving shuttle trial. For four weeks, employees of participating companies can test this new technology and participate in surveys related to the trial.
This experiment aims to demonstrate that it is possible to operate autonomous vehicles without an on-board driver, in an environment similar to that of an urban area. It will allow the validation of the technology and the business model, a necessary condition for the large-scale deployment of such a service.
The current context requires public and private stakeholders to adapt rapidly to reduce their energy consumption in order to cope with supply tensions while reconciling environmental and climate emergencies.
With this in mind, IMREDD, Team Henri-Fabre and the Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce organised a morning of discussions on the energy transition, with a focus on the IMREDD building and its solutions and innovations in the field of energy efficiency.
This Thursday, 22nd September, IMREDD was present at the Mobility Day, which took place at the Campus Sud des Métiers, to present its projects in the field of mobility to the users of the Méridia district.
