Resilience in the face of climate change
On 2 and 3 October 2020, the Mediterranean Alps region was hit by unprecedentedly intense and violent rainfall, which devastated the Italian and French valleys.
After this event which caused enormous damage and whose resolution will take years, within the framework of AlpiMed Integrated Territorial Plan (PITER), Testimonials from residents and operators from various economic sectors in the cross-border area have been collected on how they are dealing with this dramatic situation.
Four thematic videos were presented as part of The meeting «L'Intermezzo: Alpine Week 2020» in which IMREDD participated. Initially planned in Nice from 9 to 11 December 2020, However, it was ultimately held online to comply with current health regulations. This meeting is an international event that takes place every 4 years, and is co-organised by the most important Alpine organisations (WWF, Cipra, the Alpine Convention, Caf, etc.) dedicated to sustainable development and the protection of mountains.
