The foundation stone for the Palazzo Meridia building, one of the flagship projects of the IRIS Smart Cities initiative in Nice, was laid on Friday 12 January 2018 in the Nice Meridia eco-neighbourhood. Nexity Ywood, the building's main contractor, has involved a number of partners in this project, including the Institut Méditerranéen du Risque, de l'Environnement et du Développement Durable (Mediterranean Institute for Risk, Environment and Sustainable Development).
