L'IMREDD hosts the first European Innovation Campus
On Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 September, the IMREDD hosted the first edition of the European Innovation Campus (European Innovation Campus), an event promoted by the European Commission to highlight collaboration between all the players in the innovation ecosystem: local and regional authorities, higher education establishments, students, researchers, investors, associations, incubators and accelerators.
In the presence of Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, President of the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolitan Area and Deputy President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region, and Jeanick Brisswalter, President of Université Côte d'Azur, the Learning Centre was the stage for discussions and meetings on European opportunities for innovation, cooperation and business creation, including the funding available. Students, including Ekaterina Koptseva from MSc Engineers for Smart Cities, Young innovative entrepreneurs presented their projects to a panel of experts from the Université Côte d'Azur, the Région Sud and the European Innovation Council.
