New phase of autonomous shuttle trials in the Carros-Le Broc industrial estate
As part of the Territories & Autonomous Shuttles Chair, the Institut Méditerranéen du Risque, de l'Environnement et du Développement Durable (IMREDD) is launching a new phase of autonomous shuttle trials in the Carros-Le Broc industrial zone.
From 4 to 8 March, employees in the Industrial Estate are invited to take advantage of this experimental service from 11am to 2pm. The autonomous shuttle will link the Sodexo restaurant to the Multari restaurant, serving several designated stops along the way.
The aim of this initiative is to test an innovative solution for improving mobility within the industrial estate, while promoting accessibility and sustainability. The key details are as follows:
- Passage frequency: The shuttle will pass every 20 minutes at the designated stops during the specified time slot.
- Accessibility: The autonomous shuttle will be available on a self-service basis to all Industrial Estate employees. All they have to do is go to one of the designated stops to get on board.
- Free: The trial will be entirely free for all users.
In addition, participants are encouraged to share their expectations and suggestions via a form accessible via a QR Code present on the shuttle and posters on site. Feedback from users is invaluable for the ongoing improvement of this initiative.
This new phase of experimentation follows on from trial runs carried out in the area from 20 February to prepare for the trial. IMREDD remains committed to exploring innovative solutions to meet mobility needs while contributing to a more sustainable and accessible future for all.
This project is supported by the CAIPDV, the Nice Côte d'Azur metropolitan area, the municipalities of Carros and Le Broc, the Région Sud, the Banque des Territoires, ISFM and Milla Group.
