Event review - 3D printing in all its forms
On Friday, IMREDD welcomed Charles Ange GINESY as part of an event dedicated to 3D printing. This was an opportunity to showcase the additive manufacturing and bioprinting resources of the Smart City Innovation Center technology platform.
Project in progress
Bioprinters are being used as part of the Seno-Print, funded by the Alpes-Maritimes department, with the aim of replacing the silicone prostheses used by women suffering from breast cancer. This project is being carried out in partnership between IMREDD, the’Valrose Institute of Biology and the Nice University Hospital.
New training courses
According to the World Economic Forum, additive manufacturing technologies are one of the 12 emerging technologies that will enable the fourth industrial revolution. Within 3 years, 75% of manufacturers will need 3D printing skills. For this reason, IMREDD is launching two new training courses in spring 2021 in the fields of organic and metallic additive manufacturing and bioprinting 3D.
