Event Wrap-up: PITER ALPIMED Pre-launch
The 20 and 21 November 2018 the pre-launch event of Integrated Territorial Plan (PITER) ALPIMED, which brought together the entire partnership in the exotic setting of Phoenix Park, Nice.
Le PITER ALPIMED aims to interconnect and encourage best practices from the heart of the Mediterranean Alps sustainably, to enhance the attractiveness and accessibility of the territory and to hold its stakeholders accountable for its development.
Surrounded by experienced and diverse partners, it is the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolitan Area, one of France's three cross-border metropolitan areas along with Lille and Strasbourg, which is coordinating this plan where are represented The territories (CARF, Department of the Maritime Alps, Province of Cuneo, Liguria Region), the Chambers of Commerce (CCI NCA, CCIAA of Cuneo, CCIAA of the Ligurian Riviera) and protected areas (European Cross-Border Cooperation Grouping Maritime Alps / Mercantour, Gesso & Stura River Park).
This pre-launch event provided an opportunity to reaffirm the commitment to working together and to implement the first collaborative tools, ahead of a more political event scheduled for autumn 2019.
Le PITER ALPIMED is a flat 7 155 000 € which pursues 4 specific objectives: to encourage access to innovation and the dissemination of new technologies to businesses and young people, to promote the development and commercialisation of new cross-border travel, to raise awareness among populations about climate change and to implement an action plan, and to travel «differently» by encouraging «sustainable» mobility.
