ERDF grants €1.5m to IMREDD for the development of the Smart City Innovation Centre
The Regional Programme Committee of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for the Provence-Alpes Côte d'Azur region has granted €1.5 million in aid to IMREDD for its development project. Smart City Innovation Centre (SCIC), a technological platform dedicated to the Smart City.
Following a two-year process, the project has been selected under investment priority PI01b, dedicated to technological development and innovation. The IMREDD technological platform is an economic development tool open to UCA training and research stakeholders and partner companies, aiming to foster innovation and transfer, and contribute to job creation and territorial competitiveness. Its investment financing amounts to €5.7 million, including €3.75 million in public co-financing and €1.3 million in direct investment from companies. As part of the 2014-2020 State-Region Plan, the project is supported by the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, the Alpes Maritimes Departmental Council, the Sud Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur Region, and the State. The overall cost of the operation, including human resources and operating expenses, amounts to €9.1 million.
