Université Côte d’Azur and its industrial partners are establishing a «Smart City: Philosophy and Ethics» Chair»
Thinking about the citizen of the future and their new habitat
Université Côte d'Azur, together with its industrial partners Électronie, Résistex, UIMM and Ragni, has announced the creation of the «Smart City: Philosophy and Ethics» Chair, with the aim of developing expertise in philosophy and ethics applied to the Smart City.
Supported by the Fondation Partenariat Université Côte d'Azur and the Centre de Référence «Territoire intelligent, prévention et gestion des risques», based at the Institut Méditerranéen du Risque, de l'Environnement et du Développement Durable (IMREDD), the Chair is directed by the philosopher Laurence Vanin, Doctor of Letters in political philosophy and epistemology, under the patronage of Dr Boris Cyrulnik.
The inaugural lecture of the Smart City: Philosophy and Ethics Chair took place on 3 May at Nice Town Hall, in the presence of Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, President of the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolitan Area and President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region.
