Université Côte d'Azur and its industrial partners create a chair of philosophy and ethics for the Smart City
Thinking the citizen of the future and its new habitat
Université Côte d’Azur, in partnership with its industrial collaborators Électronie, Résistex, UIMM and Ragni, is delighted to announce the establishment of the «Smart City: Philosophy and Ethics» Chair. This initiative is dedicated to fostering expertise in the philosophical and ethical dimensions of Smart City development.
Supported by the Université Côte d’Azur Foundation and the Reference Centre « Smart Territory, Prevention and Risk Management » established at the Mediterranean Institute of Risk, Environment and Sustainable Development (IMREDD), the Chair is led by philosopher Laurence Vanin, Doctor of Letters in Political Philosophy and Epistemology, under the patronage of Dr. Boris Cyrulnik.
The inaugural lecture of the Chaire Smart City: Philosophy and Ethics took place on 3rd May, at Nice City Hall, in the presence of Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis and Deputy President of the Region Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.
