As part of his official visit to France, the President of Denis Sassou-N'Guesso University (Republic of Congo) and his delegation were welcomed on 29 October 2025 by Université Côte d'Azur. The meeting was part of a dynamic programme of scientific and educational cooperation between institutions committed to the digital and ecological transformation of higher education.

One of the highlights of the visit was a visit to IMREDD, the Mediterranean Institute for Risk, Environment and Sustainable Development. Discussions focused on the projects carried out in Nice in the fields of regional innovation, energy transition and sustainable technologies. The IMREDD, a genuine interface between research, businesses and local authorities, presented its technological platforms and its urban experimentation initiatives in support of the intelligent city. The meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen the prospects for collaboration on training, applied research and the sharing of expertise, illustrating the shared desire to build sustainable, connected solutions to serve local areas and societies.
