IMREDD hosts a workshop on 3D food printing
Launch of the CA project3D REME, Food supplements3D, experimental medico-educational research, was held on 31 March 2021 at IMREDD.
More than fifty participants, both in person and remotely, gathered for a conference forum followed by a visit to the IMREDD Maker Space. The research to be carried out at the’Transitions Research Unit will aim to measure the acceptability of food produced by 3D printing and mainly intended for dependent elderly people and patients suffering from cervico-facial cancer. They will also open up the debate on the social acceptability of an innovation that is generating surprise and controversy.
The forum-debate was organised by students from the Master's degree in Communication, Heritage, Environment and Sustainable Development (COMEDD) which is part of the Transitions research unit. Its researchers are interested in the effects of digital technologies on behaviour.
A presentation of the IMREDD Technology Platform was also made, for participants present on site, by relaying 3D printing solutions on site.
