their new habitat<\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Universit\u00e9 C\u00f4te d'Azur, together with its industrial partners \u00c9lectronie, R\u00e9sistex, UIMM and Ragni, has announced the creation of the \u00abSmart City: Philosophy and Ethics\u00bb Chair, with the aim of developing expertise in philosophy and ethics applied to the Smart City.<\/p>\n<p>Supported by the Fondation Partenariat Universit\u00e9 C\u00f4te d'Azur and the Centre de R\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00abTerritoire intelligent, pr\u00e9vention et gestion des risques\u00bb, based at the Institut M\u00e9diterran\u00e9en du Risque, de l'Environnement et du D\u00e9veloppement Durable (IMREDD), the Chair is directed by the philosopher Laurence Vanin, Doctor of Letters in political philosophy and epistemology, under the patronage of Dr Boris Cyrulnik.<\/p>\n<p>The inaugural lecture of the Smart City: Philosophy and Ethics Chair took place on 3 May at Nice Town Hall, in the presence of Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, President of the Nice C\u00f4te d'Azur Metropolitan Area and President of the Provence-Alpes-C\u00f4te d'Azur Region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a
