For four weeks in 2022, employees of the Arkopharma, Options and Aqualung companies in the Carros-le-Broc Industrial Estate tested autonomous mobility and took part in surveys linked to the experiment. Find out more about the key figures and results in the image.
IMREDD was in Ghent last week to take part in a meeting of the GreenMov consortium. The main objectives of this general meeting were to discuss the progress of the project, technical details, the status of deliverables, the action plan for the coming months and preparations for the final event.
During a visit to the Alpes-Maritimes, Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Telecommunications, visited the IMREDD to discover the role played by this component of the Université Côte d'Azur in the region's social, economic and academic fabric.
Emmanuel Tric has been appointed Interim Director of IMREDD as of 1st February 2023. He succeeds Eric Dumetz, who has been the Institute's Director since September 2021, and previously Deputy Director since 2013. After 10 years of conceptualising and co-building IMREDD, Eric Dumetz wished to dedicate himself fully to the Université Côte d’Azur Foundation, which is beginning its renewal with new ambitions.

After 10 years of imagining and co-constructing IMREDD, Eric Dumetz has decided to devote himself fully to Fondation Université Côte d’Azur, which is beginning its renewal with new ambitions.
IMREDD has launched a self-driving shuttle trial. For four weeks, employees of participating companies can test this new technology and participate in surveys related to the trial.
This experiment aims to demonstrate that it is possible to operate autonomous vehicles without an on-board driver, in an environment similar to that of an urban area. It will allow the validation of the technology and the business model, a necessary condition for the large-scale deployment of such a service.

On Thursday 8 December, the IMREDD hosted the first User Committee meeting for the PUMA-X project - the platform for global crisis prevention and management.
The current context requires public and private stakeholders to adapt rapidly to reduce their energy consumption in order to cope with supply tensions while reconciling environmental and climate emergencies.
With this in mind, IMREDD, Team Henri-Fabre and the Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce organised a morning of discussions on the energy transition, with a focus on the IMREDD building and its solutions and innovations in the field of energy efficiency.
