GreenMov, the European research project on intelligent data models and mobility services: a successful conclusion
After two years of intense work, the project has demonstrated intelligent green urban mobility services in 3 pilot projects (Murcia - Molina de Segura, Nice and Flanders).
The data models and services that have been defined can be used in any city and could be extrapolated to other cities with very little work or adaptation: replication is the key word.
The European research project GreenMov (Data models and green mobility services for intelligent ecosystems), coordinated by Atos and co-funded by the European Union's Programme for Connectivity in Europe (CEF), has come to an end, and the partners in its consortium (the Flemish Region, FIWARE Foundation, imec, University of Côte d'Azur via its Institute for Innovation and Partnerships IMREDD, MT3, HOPU, Town Hall of Murcia and Town Hall of Molina de Segura) are proud to announce that the results of the project are in line with expectations.
These are artificial intelligence forecasting services, where sensors provide data for air quality, noise and traffic forecasts with extremely precise results for improving intermodal passenger transport (also known as mixed trip), which consists of using two or more modes of transport in one journey. Mixed journeys are often used to combine the advantages of different transport options.
These proposed services can be transferred to any city interested in using them, enabling local authorities to make decisions based on forecasts, to decide whether to reduce traffic, divert it or take any other necessary measures.
Here are some of the main results obtained:
- A reference architecture for mobility scenarios.
- 8 extended intelligent data models and 9 new intelligent data models.
- Some OSLO vocabularies and contextualised application profiles for mobility.
- 8 mobility services for noise, air quality, bicycle availability and traffic calculation and forecasting.
- A new building block for resolving federated requests across multiple context brokers.
- White paper with lessons learned on the deployment of these models and services in the 3 pilots (Nice, Flanders and Murcie-Molina de Segura).
