GreenMov
Goals
The project's objective is to harmonise data models and advance green mobility services through valuable open datasets provided by European cities via multiple open data portals.
Nowadays, cities collect and publish mobility data in open data formats, and IT providers develop tools and applications that analyse and exploit this data as services for citizens, businesses, and public administrations. Despite the enormous amount of data produced and used recently, there are still opportunities for improvement in terms of data harmonisation to enable quality services that integrate data from different sources.
Thanks to its technical approach, GreenMov will enable interoperability between cities and regions for the sharing of data, services, and even benefits related to cost reduction, environmental commitment, citizen satisfaction, and the creation of new business opportunities based on the easier development of added-value mobility services and facilitated access to open mobility data.
Thanks to GreenMov, green and intelligent mobility will be improved for citizens, businesses and public administrations around three objectives:
- Intelligent Data Models and a Core Vocabulary for Harmonise the different datasets.
- The development of cross-services to connect various data sources and promote shared features.
- Economic and environmental efficiency through a Better coordination between cities and regions via data portals.
In addition to these three fundamental objectives, GreenMov will provide a conceptual architecture based on the Building Block Context Broker for intensive use and real-time functionalities in any mobility scenario, aiming for a serverless architecture to achieve horizontal scalability, which will be validated on three real-world pilots:
- Noise and air pollution monitoring for more efficient mobility (Nice, France); ;
- Sustainable catalyst for the reuse of smart and green mobility data (Flanders region, Belgium) ;
- and improvement of mobility flows, intermodality and environmental parameters (Murcia/Molina de Segura, Spain).
