Change of management at IMREDD
Professor Emmanuel Tric, until now director of IMREDD, is handing over the reins as part of a long-prepared transition, organised to ensure the continuity of the institute's activities and partnerships. He remains with Université Côte d’Azur and is supporting this transition phase in close collaboration with the teams.
Since 1 May 2026, Damienne Provitolo has thus been the interim director of the IMREDD. Her appointment by Jeanick Brisswalter, President of Université Côte d’Azur, is part of a desire for continuity and consolidation of the institute's strategic directions. A research director at the CNRS, a member of the Géoazur laboratory, and previously deputy director of the IMREDD in charge of science, she will put her experience and knowledge at the service of the institute, its strategic directions, and its projects.
Professor Emmanuel Tric is supporting this transition alongside Damienne Provitolo and Audrey Fiorini Cheruy, the institute's operational director, contributing to the handover and the smooth running of ongoing projects.
Unrelated to this governance evolution, Paulo Moura, deputy director in charge of innovation and partnerships, will leave his post at the end of May to take up a new professional opportunity abroad, as part of a personal project.
IMREDD is therefore continuing its activities in line with the actions already undertaken, in close collaboration with its academic, institutional, and socio-economic partners.
