Conceptualization and experimentation of an autonomous shuttle
Conceptualization and experimentation of an autonomous shuttle
in the industrial zone of Carros-Le Broc
General goals
As part of the “Mobility – Autonomous Shuttle” action, Université Côte d’Azur, through its Institute for Innovation and Partnerships IMREDD, carried out in 2020 a preliminary study making it possible to establish an analysis of the existing in terms of employee mobility on commuting journeys and a detailed analysis of travel needs in the Carros-Le Broc Industrial Zone by modeling mobility flows.
On the basis of the results obtained within the framework of this preliminary study, UCA / IMREDD and the CAIPDV signed a partnership aiming to carry out a conceptualization and experimentation study of an autonomous shuttle in the industrial area of Carros-Le Broc.
This project is part of the “Territoires d’Industrie” project.
Operational goals
The development of the project “Conceptualization and experimentation of an autonomous shuttle in the industrial area of Carros-Le Broc” happens in 3 phases:
Phase I – Development of usage tests for the implementation of the proposed integration model and modeling of multimodal integration
Phase II – First full-scale tests, with modeling of use cases and proposal of a model for the necessary infrastructure
Phase III – Beta tests and administrative validation, followed by the development of replicability and economic balance models
The rest of the project will be marked by knowledge sharing through various events at IMREDD with exchanges and the participation of stakeholders related to autonomous vehicles and mobility.
