Smart and sustainable city simulation platform
THE “SMART CITY INNOVATION CENTER” IS A PROJECT FINANCED WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE EUROPEAN UNION WITH THE EUROPEAN REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUND.THE PROJECT ALSO BENEFITS FROM PUBLIC CO-FINANCING OF THE NICE CÔTE D’AZUR METROPOLE, THE ALPES-MARITIMES DEPARTMENT, THE PROVENCE-ALPES-CÔTE D’AZUR REGION AND THE FRENCH STATE, PARTICULARLY IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE “INITIATIVE D’EXCELLENCE” OPERATION OF THE “INVESTISSEMENTS D’AVENIR” PROGRAM
Technical platform of the sustainable and interconnected city, the Showroom allows to materialise and visualise in real time all the data stored in the Data Center of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis and the city management that can result from these data. Equipped with a data processing and dynamic display system, this 200 m² platform displays a set of projects implementing innovative technologies and applications that optimize the management of the city and improve services to the citizen. These projects result from a collaborative effort between industrial partners, researchers from laboratories, students and the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis and demonstrate the benefits of “cross-fertilization”, generating ideas and innovations. This space is completed with models and demonstrators.
The objective of this space is to make projects visible in the Smart City’s strategic activity areas and to enhance the University’s skills with its partners. Visits can be organized free of charge on request: ½ to 1 hour visit time with a guide, followed by a half-hour Q&A. The aim is to foster research collaborations, partnerships on calls for projects, services, etc.
