Université Côte d’Azur and its industrial partners create a chair of philosophy and ethics for the Smart City
Thinking the citizen of the future and its new habitat
Université Côte d’Azur, with its industrial partners Électronie, Résistex, UIMM and Ragni, announces the creation of the “Smart City: philosophy and ethics” Chair, whose vocation is to develop expertise in philosophy and ethics applied to the Smart City.
Supported by the Université Côte d’Azur Foundation and the Reference Center “Smart Territory, Prevention and Risk Management” installed at the Mediterranean Institute of Risk, Environment and Sustainable Development (IMREDD), the Chair is led by philosopher Laurence Vanin, Doctor of Letters in Political Philosophy and Epistemology, under the patronage of Dr. Boris Cyrulnik.
The inaugural lecture of the Chaire Smart City: Philosophy and Ethics took place on May 3rd, at the Nice City Hall, in the presence of Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis and Deputy President of the Region Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.
