The Smart City Innovation Center (SCIC) is a technological platform that allows for the materialisation, on an industrial scale, different key concepts and technologies for the Institute’s Strategic Activity Areas. It is a place of experimentation, training and demonstration for the Smart City of the future.
The technology platform is an economic development tool based on an offer of resources (equipment, personnel and associated services) open to the training and research stakeholders of the Université Côte d’Azur and to partner companies, with the goal of fostering innovation and knowledge transfer and contributing to job creation and territorial competitiveness.

The Smart City Innovation Center (SCIC) is a technological platform that allows for the materialisation, on an industrial scale, different key concepts and technologies for the Institute’s Strategic Activity Areas. It is a place of experimentation, training and demonstration for the Smart City of the future.
The technology platform is an economic development tool based on an offer of resources (equipment, personnel and associated services) open to the training and research stakeholders of the Université Côte d’Azur and to partner companies, with the goal of fostering innovation and knowledge transfer and contributing to job creation and territorial competitiveness.
The SCIC develops most of its activities under research collaboration contracts, but also provides business services such as catalog services, tailor-made services, animation and technological demonstration services.
The SCIC also supports academic research (scientific production) and participates in training students to use equipment and technologies.

USER CHARTER
Access to the SCIC is controlled and strictly reserved for persons authorised by IMREDD management, after signature of signatories of the Smart City Innovation Center User Charter.
WORKING HOURS
The SCIC is open from 7:45 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, excluding holidays and compulsory university closing days.
Permission to access the SCIC outside these regulated hours must be requested to IMREDD management.

The SCIC is open to:
– Research teams and students from Université Côte d’Azur
– External personnel
All the resources located on the platform, including equipment financed, loaned or ceded free of charge by University laboratories and / or external partners, are accessible to all those who request it on a basis of fairness and availability.
Priority access is nonetheless applied to members of research teams working on a project for which an equipment has been specifically acquired and pooled on the platform. This priority of access is guaranteed for the duration of the project including its possible extensions and is duly registered in the convention that will be drafted for this purpose.
Privileged access is also applied to partners who have contributed to funding of 10% or more of the SCIC’s tangible assets.
