Collaborative technological platform
General goal
Creation of a technological platform dedicated to the Smart City to promote innovation and transfer to businesses and contribute to the creation of jobs in the territory.
Operational goals
The Smart City Innovation Center (SCIC) is a technological platform that allows for the materialisation, on an industrial scale, different key concepts and technologies for the Institute’s Strategic Activity Areas. It is a place of experimentation, training and demonstration for the Smart City of the future.
The technology platform is an economic development tool based on an offer of resources (equipment, personnel and associated services) open to the training and research stakeholders of the Université Côte d’Azur and to partner companies, with the goal of fostering innovation and knowledge transfer and contributing to job creation and territorial competitiveness.
The SCIC develops most of its activities under research collaboration contracts, but also provides business services such as catalog services, tailor-made services, animation and technological demonstration services.
The SCIC also supports academic research (scientific production) and participates in training students to use equipment and technologies.
