This convention entitled “Water Uses and Economic Rationalities for a Smart & Sustainable Mediterranean City” aimed to develop scientific projects focused on analyzing, understanding and controlling the water cycle in a major coastal city of the Mediterranean. By integrating all the components – from the use of technology, through the environmental and economic component – these projects aim to propose an economic model of a smart and sustainable city, seeking to improve the quality of life of its inhabitants. .
Encouraging innovative and original research, developing a training course backed up by this high-level research, giving international visibility to the field of water engineering applied to the smart city, these were the objectives assigned to this Chair that have strengthened the positioning of the Eco-Vallée and the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis in their role as sustainable and interconnected territories of excellence, showcasing innovation and exemplary eco-development.
